FAQ

What is an artificial slope?

There are many myths regarding dry ski slopes, please feel free to ask us about the slope. Also see Wikipedia for more information on dendix/diamond matting.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive 15mins prior to the lesson start giving you enough time to get ready, sign in and to correctly fit boots and skis etc

What should I do when I arrive?

Please head to the reception next to the Slope where you can sign in and fill out the relevant paperwork.

What do I need?

Your arms and legs must be covered and gloves worn at all times on our slope. We do always recommend waterproof clothing also as we do have a misting water system on our slope. If you are skiing or snowboarding we do include boots, helmets, skis or snowboards in our prices unless you want to bring your own.

What is a taster session?

If you don’t want to commit to a full 6 hour course, we offer the first lesson as a taste and gentle introduction into the sport and may help you decide whether or not it is for you.

What level am I?

Ages 3 to 4?

Half an hour private lessons are best suited for juniors at this age.

Ages 5 – 10?

Private lessons are always an option, however on Saturdays we have Junior Snow School; a group course of 6 lessons designed to get juniors of this age up to recreational standard.

Ages 10+

Private lessons are again an option; we also have Group lessons throughout the week in both skiing and snowboarding or an intensive day course to get up to recreational standard in one day.

I have skied before can I book onto a course?

All of our group courses start at complete novice, therefore unless you would wish to learn from the start we would recommend private lessons.

If you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to call us on 01778 347000
