Jet Skiing

We have two dedicated Jet Ski lakes with clean, spring-fed water extending to approximately 40 acres. Open from April 1 to September 30.

  • Lake 1 is for Jet Ski hire and R.Y.A. (Royal Yachting Association) tuition.
  • Lake 2 is for the exclusive use of the members.

Jet skiing is fantastic fun and we especially welcome beginners. Whatever your level of experience you can be sure of safe and expert tuition.

Jet Ski Hire - Apr to Sep

Yamaha VX110 Sit-Down (2 person) Ski:

  • £60 per 15 min session
  • £80 per 30 min session
  • £100 per 45 min session
  • £120 per 1 hour session

Prices include fuel, buoyancy aid, wetsuit, and helmet.

Drivers must be 18 years old or over; a valid form of ID is required.

Please note that younger children may be carried as passengers on the 2-seater skis.

Group bookings and school groups are welcome. Please telephone for details.

A non-refundable deposit will be required to secure group bookings.

Private lessons are also available. Prices on application.

N.B. Anyone hiring a personal watercraft will be required to complete a disclaimer form and provide credit/debit card details on this form.

RYA Personal Water Craft Courses - Apr to Sep

The Royal Yachting Association PWC course teaches the riders to use their jet skis safely and responsibly. Passing the course will reduces most insurance premiums and is compulsory on most lakes and public launch site in the UK. The topics covered on the course include:

  • Launching
  • Handling
  • Planning and decision making
  • Recovery skills

The one day course costs £200 per person as part of a group, and to hire a craft for use on PWC course £100.

Cancellation or alteration of bookings must be provided with a minimum of 48 hours notice to allow transfer, or credit note. No refunds given.

By purchasing online tickets/making an online booking you agree to the rules of the park. You also agree to the Activities Venture Ltd Agreement Terms and Conditions, these are available to view on the website and can be directly supplied if requested.

Jet Ski Rules

Please read and observe the safety rules. Users should be aware that they may change from time to time so we recommend that you check them on a regular basis.
Launch permit stickers must be placed in a visible position above the waterline.

In order to register all owners must hold and provide copies of their RYA PWC certificate and a valid and in-date Certificate of Insurance; detailing adequate levels of cover – usually a minimum of £1,000,000 of third party.

Registered owners will receive an electronic barrier card to gain automatic entry and exit to Tallington. There is a refundable deposit of £15 per card. All guests must pay £5 per vehicle at the entrance barrier.

Personal Watercraft owners may only launch on the designated slipway at the side of the hire lake (No parking permitted on the slipway)

Follow the buoyed channel to the Owner’s Lake (MAXIMUM 2mph along channel)

NO Personal Watercraft owners are allowed to use the Hire Lake unless on a RYA PWC course.

The towing of kneeboards or other water toys behind personal watercraft is permitted only when there are no other watercraft on the lake. A rear-facing observer must also be on the craft.

Overtaking craft must give way; craft being overtaken must not alter course or speed.

Never exceed the craft’s maximum load or carry more passengers than it is designed to carry.

All personal watercraft operators must have knowledge of craft operation and safety rules.

All watercraft users are required to use a safety-leash or kill cord (if fitted to your machine).

No craft is permitted on the lake between the hours of 10pm (or dusk, whichever is sooner) and 8.00 am.

Tallington Lakes reserves the right to revoke launch rights at any time without warning, reason or reimbursement.

Never operate a personal watercraft after consuming alcohol, using drugs or, when intoxicated.

There is an element of danger when participating in watersports or when in the vicinity of water; and please note: the lakes are not supervised.

Access to Tallington Lakes and use of all facilities is strictly at the individual’s own risk. Tallington Lakes will not accept liablilty for any accident or injury however caused.

Jet Ski Membership

Jet Ski membership commences on the 1st of April of each year. In order to launch all persons operating a jet ski must hold an RYA personal watercraft proficiency certificate, plus hold valid, in date, insurance documents.
